Severe flooding has devastated communities in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh, Indonesia. Families have lost access to one of the most basic necessities of life: clean and safe water.

In Phase I of our response, Alhamdulillah, we have already delivered NZD 14,000 worth of emergency aid, including drinking water, clean water supplies, food, and other essential relief items. This support helped families survive the immediate aftermath of the disaster.

Now, we are moving into Phase II, focusing on a long-term solution.

We aim to drill deep water wells (50 meters or more) to provide sustainable access to clean water for the affected communities. Each well will be equipped with:

1. Water pumps
2. Storage facilities
3. A simple distribution system

With NZD 10,000, we can construct two deep wells complete with pumping and distribution infrastructure.

For the first one month, we will manage and operate water distribution to ensure everyone can access clean water safely. After this period, the wells will remain open and free, allowing community members to collect water independently for years to come.
