Sorrow once again shrouds Indonesia.
As 2025 comes to an end, disasters seem to strike one region after another.

The floods and landslides in Sumatra have caused deep sorrow. The latest data shows a very alarming situation.

Days of extreme rainfall triggered flash floods that swept mud, tree trunks, and building debris—evidence of the powerful water currents rushing down from the hills. The disaster caused loss of life, cut off transportation and communication access, and damaged or washed away homes and public facilities.

With many areas cut off and the number of displaced residents continuing to rise, meeting basic needs has become extremely urgent. Below, we’ve listed the emergency items that must be prioritized for the affected communities.

Mount Semeru, located in Lumajang, East Java, Indonesia, is currently erupting with ongoing pyroclastic flows. The flow distance has reached 7 km from the summit, with an eruption column rising approximately 2,000 meters above the peak (5,676 masl).
The alert status for Mount Semeru has been raised to the highest level due to the threat of pyroclastic flows, lava, and ash, which pose extreme danger to surrounding communities.

At least 1,100 residents have been evacuated, 143 livestock have died, and dozens of buildings are damaged or flattened.
A landslide struck Majenang, Cilacap, on Thursday (13 November 2025). A total of 46 people were affected—23 survived, 18 died, and 5 others are still missing.

The landslide buried residential areas, causing land subsidence of up to two meters and cracks stretching 25 meters long.

Friends, this series of disasters has left deep grief for our brothers and sisters. Let us offer strength through prayer and compassion. May God grant protection, resilience, and recovery to every affected family, and strengthen the tireless volunteers on the ground.

Distribution Update Batch 2 – Stationery Aid for Students in North Aceh
Assalamu’alaikum dear donors, here is the latest update from North Aceh ?
Alhamdulillah, on Thursday, February 12, 2026, we once again distributed donations in the form of stationery supplies for students affected by flooding. This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting education in the aftermath of the floods that struck several areas in Sumatra. The distribution was carried out at MIN 33 Jambo Aye, North Aceh Regency.

This activity reached 296 students impacted by the floods, many of whom lost or had their school supplies damaged due to the inundation. The assistance provided included essential learning tools such as notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, rulers, and other supporting educational materials.

We hope that this aid will help ease the burden on both students and parents, while also reviving the children’s enthusiasm for learning after the difficult period they endured due to the disaster. Education is every child’s right, and collective support is key to ensuring that teaching and learning activities can resume optimally.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all donors for their care, generosity, and contributions to this program. Your support is not only in the form of school supplies, but also a source of motivation and renewed hope for children to continue striving for excellence and achieving their dreams.

May all your kindness be rewarded with abundant blessings and ease in all your affairs. You can still support them Click Donate.
Thank you very much, dear donors!
Warm regards,

Distribution Update Batch 1 – Food Aid Packages for Disaster Victims in Bireuen, Aceh
Dear Beloved Donors,
Thank you for sharing your kindness and bringing smiles to our brothers and sisters in Sumatra, Indonesia, who are currently affected by the floods and landslides.
Alhamdulillah, your generous donations have been successfully distributed to the victims of the floods and landslides in Aceh, Indonesia.

The children are very happy to receive snacks from your donations.
From December 15–18, 2025, we distributed food aid packages to approximately 1,500 displaced individuals in Bireuen Regency, Aceh. These families lost their belongings, homes, and sources of livelihood due to the disaster.

The fathers and mothers who are cleaning up the aftermath of the flood are also happy because of the basic food supplies you have provided through this program.
Amid these limitations, the food packages became a source of strength, helping them to endure, rise, and continue their lives. Tears of gratitude, sincere smiles, and heartfelt thanks accompanied every package received. For them, your zakat is not merely assistance it is hope in their most difficult times.

When floods swept away comfort and landslides destroyed their shelters, your zakat came as a warm embrace and a true reflection of compassion. Every grain of rice and every food item stands as a witness that they are not alone in facing this trial. Thank you for being part of this goodness.

As of February 2026, conditions in Sumatra, especially in Aceh, have not yet fully recovered. Many residents are still living in evacuation tents with very limited facilities.
They continue to need extensive support for recovery. You can still donate by clicking the Donate button.
Thank you. Your support means so much to them, strengthening their resilience—especially during this blessed month of Ramadan.
Warm regards,

Update on Distribution to Elderly Living Alone
Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, Dear generous donors,
Thank you for your support and kindness towards this program. Allow us to share the latest update regarding the distribution of your donations.
Alhamdulillah, we have distributed the aid to Grandma Jumasih on December 26, 2025, in Wado District, Sumedang Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia.

Grandma Jumasih lives alone in very poor health. She spends most of her time lying on her bed and often experiences shortness of breath at night. Without family to care for her, her neighbors have been helping her with great compassion, even though her needs are still very limited. Thanks to your kindness, we were able to distribute aid in the form of diapers, nutritious food, and hygiene supplies to support her daily needs.

However, sad news has arrived. Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi roji'un. On December 30, 2025, Grandma Jumasih passed away peacefully at her home. May Grandma have a good ending.

Thank you so much for your kindness. No act of kindness is ever wasted. Your assistance brought comfort, care, and strength to Grandma Jumasih's final days. May Allah SWT reward each of your acts of kindness with multiplied blessings.
If you are still willing to help the elderly and other people in need who are victims of natural disasters in Indonesia, you can DONATE HERE.
