The people of besieged Gaza are in crisis. The latest round of violence has added to an already desperate situation. Dozens have again been killed, including women and children, and many more wounded. Homes and farms have been destroyed.

Hospitals are failing to satisfy the needs of the people. There is a chronic shortage of medical supplies with almost half of all essential drugs including pain killers at very low levels or out of stock. As a result, the people are suffering greatly and needlessly dying every day. 

Due to the siege and conflict, there is 50% unemployment and the peoples’ means of livelihood are often destroyed. Families simply cannot provide for themselves. Half the people do not have enough food and 3 in every 4 Gazans rely on your help to survive.

UKIM is active now in the essential work of rebuilding Gaza in the hope that somehow families can rebuild their lives.
