We recite Quran every day in Salah BUT do we understand what we are Saying?

The Quran is the ultimate gift to mankind and a complete guide to life. We all recite the Quran, offer our Salah, recite Surahs and make duas on a daily basis — But how many of us truly know and reflect upon the meaning of each and every word. How many of us long to build a better connection with Allah SWT.

Did you know:

• An average adult knows 27,500 words. At the age of 4 an average child already knows 5,000 words. The Quran roughly contains 4,000 unique words.
• 100 of those words make up almost 55% of the vocabulary in the Quran
• And our daily Salah is only made up of 90 words!

What excuse do we have for not understanding what we are reciting?

What is Quranic Quizzes:

At Quranic Quizzes, our mission is to provide an interactive e-learning platform to help bridge the gap between reading and understanding the Quran. We provide additional tools to support other important aspects of Islam all encompassed in our interactive platform. Our easy-to-use online learning platform caters for individuals, families and academic institutions.

What our team has achieved to date:

• A complete website and mobile apps available on Apple and Android (see links below)
• Developed quizzes and flash cards that cover the entire Quran and is free to the public
• 1000s of quizzes available now across 10 different categories
• Ability to challenge other users through the live games feature
• Parent and teachers have access to set homework as quizzes
• Dashboards with metric for in-depth analysis for Teacher / Student

We need your help to:

• Ensure the Quran section remains completely free without ads
• Add even more engaging features to help make understanding Quran easier like drag and drop, fill in the blank and more
• Continue to make Quizzes accessible to over a Billion Muslims by adding support for more languages like Indonesian, Urdu, Bengali, Malay and more.
• Expand child friendly content to accommodate for pre-teens, teens and young adults
• Increase content to cover a comprehensive range of topics

The Story Behind this Project

Assalamu alaikum. My name is Asim Iqbal and I am the founder of Quranic Quizzes.

This project was inspired when I started teaching Quranic Arabic to a group of students in my free time. I have always wanted to engage my students in a more fun and interactive way. Having a background in teaching I always found technology to be a useful tool in education. Therefore, I decided to embark on a mission to create a tool to supplement my teaching whilst, increasing student engagement furthering their understanding the vocabulary of the Quran, Salah and general knowledge of Islam. This is where Quranic quizzes was born!

Alhamdulillah this system started off with something I wanted to use just in my classroom to supplement my teaching. Since then, it has grown to an online platform that is being used around the globe. With help of Allah (SWT) we added 10 new categories with 1000s of quizzes. Our main focus has been the Quran section. We have strived to ensure this section is completely free without ads.

Why start fund raising now?

Our small team has huge ambitions to continue improving the Quranic Quizzes platform with aims of helping people around the world. We need your help to keep Quran section completely free forever! We want to develop this section by adding multi-language support to benefit Muslims from different regions, features targeted at younger students through such as drag and drop and fill in the blank games. We are on a mission to help the Ummah understand the words of Allah.
