The Problem

In the heart of Kuala Lipis, amidst Malaysia's lush landscapes, lives Aina, a 10-year-old girl with dreams larger than her village. Her journey to Quran is hindered by obstacles—remote access and lack of nutritious food. Far away in Sabah, Adam, a 12-year-old Huffaz student, rises before dawn for prayers and Quran lessons. His dedication is unwavering, but his focus falters under the weight of hunger.

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, a time of reflection, prayer, and community, the stories of Aina and Adam resonate with even greater urgency. "Let's Not Forget – Every Child Deserves a Chance," the heartbeat of our campaign, calls us to action during a month when the virtues of compassion and charity are magnified.

What we do 

We provide free school meals to children
Charity Right Malaysia partners with local Quran schools - from east to west coast of Malaysia.

We make nutritious, delicious meals beyond rice and lentils. We work with nutrition experts to ensure we feed the children a balanced diet, including bread, chicken, and vegetables. We distribute them to the students who come to our free schools.
Parents now save 30% of the money they make. They want to send their kids to Quran school now. Children have a reason to come to school, and they have a chance to work their way out of child labour and poverty.

With your donations we can provide daily meals to 140 children for an entire year.
We are seeking donations through other channels, and anything more than RM 250,000 will be used to feed and educate more children in the  three schools we are committed to!

RM 350,000 ($ 75,000 USD) feeds four of our 110 schools.

How it Works

Step 1: We seek out environments affected by poverty where children are unlikely to leave the poverty cycle. We establish ourselves in that environment, building an on-the-ground team of people living in that area or nearby.

Step 2: The Charity Right team conducts background checks on beneficiaries and teachers before committing to a school. We ensure the school curriculum is in line with national standards so students who graduate can move into higher education.

Step 3: We commit to a school and analyze the state of each child to see what nutrients they need. We develop meal plans which will give them a balanced diet and source healthy ingredients.

Step 4: Every day we prepare meals for the children which they eat at the school or which they collect on days off.

Step 5: We keep track of the body mass index of the children and establish systems of regularly checking their physical and academic growth.
