The McMaster Orphan Sponsorship Program is committed to supporting and empowering orphans worldwide. One of our initiatives this year is to collaborate with 11 of your favorite profs to sponsor 20 orphans for a month. This includes Paul Harrison, Alastair Tracey, Krista Howarth, Kari Dalnoki-Veress, Sara Cormier, Michelle Cadieux, Michelle MacDonald, Mat Savelli, Joe Kim, Harvey Chad and Yaser Haddara. Comments for this video will be taken from MacConfessions, SpottedatMac, Rateyourprofessors.com and Reddit and may be edited to ensure appropriateness and respect.

153 million. This number represents the amount of orphans worldwide without one or both parents to give them a home, safety, or love. Without the proper support, they are vulnerable to poverty, sickness and the dangers of the world. We can fill the gap in their lives, and show them they are not on their own.

With the global pandemic underway the orphans are now in desperation more than ever before. Together with Islamic Relief Canada, we hope to provide these children with the adequate food, shelter, medical care, and access to an education. #MacOSPgoesVirtual launched on November 2nd, and we are aiming to raise $25,000 by February 21st. Being one of the largest student-led fundraising campaigns on campus, we strive to bring the McMaster community together for a greater cause. Each year we collaborate with students, staff, local businesses and members of the community to plan exciting and unique fundraising initiatives with lots of opportunities for prizes. 

We would appreciate any form of support and we pray that you are rewarded immensely for it. Remember every dollar counts. What may be pocket change for you, could be enough to change an orphans life for the better. These children are counting on us, and let’s show them we're here for them.
