To raise urgent, life-saving funds for new mothers and their children in Gaza through Islamic Relief Australia.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has left thousands of families struggling to access basic necessities, including healthcare.

Amid the ongoing crisis, expecting mothers in Gaza especially face significant risk of complications during pregnancy and childbirth.

There are currently over 55,000 pregnant women in Gaza. Many of them are displaced, traumatised, and surviving under constant bombardment.

Pregnancy and motherhood are already deeply vulnerable experiences. But in Gaza, women are giving birth without clean water, food, medicine, or even a safe place to rest. Many are breastfeeding while fleeing for their lives. The physical and emotional impact is extremely dangerous.

We aim to reduce this risk by providing holistic and integrated maternal health support across Gaza, ensuring the healthy development of expecting mothers and their unborn children.

The support includes:

• Comprehensive prenatal care, including weight monitoring, blood tests, fetal heartbeat monitoring and ultrasound imaging.
• Postnatal care, including in the delivery stage (natural and c-section) and providing medications and vitamins specifically for newborns, pregnant and lactating women.
• Food packs and food vouchers to address the challenges of food security in Gaza, which is vital to supporting maternal health.
• Hygiene kits, which cover holistic and integrated maternal healthcare support in both northern and southern Gaza Strip
