More than 90 innocent people are reported dead and 149 more injured after a massive car bomb exploded at a busy intersection on the outskirts of Somalia's capital, Mogadishu, on Saturday, according to a government official. 

On Saturday, December 28, 2019 a lorry loaded with explosives was set off into the "Ex-control Afgoye" checkpoint, a well-known junction that links the south of Somalia to the capital killing more than 90 people and leaving hundreds more injured. It's the largest terror attack in the history of my homeland Somalia.

The attack happened during rush hour in the Somali capital at about 8 a.m. local time, and civilians and soldiers are among the dead, police said.

The attack on December 28th, 2019 in Mogadishu is impacting the poor women and children of Somalia. Many who lost their lives were students who were trying to go to Banadir University located at that location.
